Introduction
The CSSC Lake Zone office is one of five CSSC Zonal Offices in Tanzania. The Zone serves more than 9 million people in four Regions (Mwanza, Musoma , Shinyanga, Kagera).
It contains 23 Dioceses involved in health and education service delivery (20 Hospitals, 21 Health Centres, 116 Dispensaries, 8 Paramedical institutions and 55 Secondary Schools ). 

The majority of the population lives from subsistence farming and fishing. Even though gold and diamond mining is also done in the area, profits are not contributing much to the development of the Zone and a high poverty level remains.

Objectives
The CSSC Lake Zone office focuses on further qualifying health and education services managed by church facilities through (a) policy advocacy and lobbying, (b) promotion of Private Public Partnerships (PPP), (c) fostering partnerships, and (d) capacity building.
